Wait, what? A 2-ingredient apple coffee cake? It's true! If you need to whip up something cozy fast, this amazing recipe is just what the doctor ordered! With five minutes of hands-on time, you can have this delicious little 2-ingredient apple coffee cake in the oven!
In minutes, your kitchen will smell like autumn at the harvest festival. And you did it all without a mixer or even a measuring cup! What could be easier? It looks like you fussed, and it tastes like you fussed, but that will be our little secret.😉
Two ingredients, five minutes to put this tasty cake together, and soon, everyone in the house will wander out to the kitchen to see what's going on!
Remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly, then drizzle the cream cheese icing over the top. If you're really lucky, you can enjoy it with ice cream while it's still warm!
What's not to love? Those wonderful refrigerated cinnamon rolls are so good, and there's that special little container of cream cheese icing to take them right over the top. YUM! This cake takes five minutes from popping open the can to sticking it in the oven!
It's perfect for a busy morning when you really want to spend time with your family instead of fussing around in the kitchen.
Everybody loves it! If there's ever been a popular combination, it's apples and cinnamon, am I right?
One tube of eight cinnamon rolls with icing, and one 21-ounce can of apple pie filling, yep, that's all you need! Lightly coat the baking pan with non-stick spray. Here, I used my cute 8" by 10" baking dish, but you can use a pie plate, or a square 8" or 9" pan.
Put the pie filling in the pan. I used kitchen scissors to cut the apple slices into smaller, bite-sized pieces quickly.
Next, I cut the rolls into quarters, using my bench scraper to make the job easy and quick.
Finally, I added the cut-up pieces of cinnamon roll to the pie filling and gave it a good stir to ensure everything was evenly distributed. Then, I popped the pan into a 350-degree oven for about 25 minutes, until everything was nicely browned.
All that was left to do was let the cake cool a little, then I snipped open the small pouch of icing and drizzled it evenly over the entire pan.
What Should I Serve With My Apple Coffee Cake?
Hot coffee (of course!), a dollop of whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream if you’re in dessert mode. I raise two hands for vanilla ice cream! It is a perfect combination!
How Should I Store My Apple Coffee Cake?
Cover and refrigerate it for up to 3 days; rewarm servings in the microwave for 10–15 seconds. This cake does not freeze well. I suggest sharing some with the neighbors instead of trying to save it!
Can I prep it the night before?
No, refrigerated dough can get sluggish if it sits and won't bake right. Please make it when you're ready to bake it- after all, it only takes five minutes!
