It's perfect for a busy morning when you really want to spend time with your family instead of messing around in the kitchen.

Everybody loves it! If there's ever been a popular combination, it's apples and cinnamon, am I right?

Here's How Easy It Is To Make This Tasty Coffee Cake

One tube of eight cinnamon rolls with icing, and one 21-ounce can of apple pie filling, yep, that's all you need! Lightly coat the baking pan with non-stick spray. Here, I used my cute 8" by 10" baking dish, but you can use a pie plate or a square 8" or 9" pan.

Put the pie filling in the pan. I used kitchen scissors to quickly cut the apple slices into smaller, bite-sized pieces.

Next, I cut the rolls into quarters, using my bench scraper to make the job easy and quick.

Finally, I added the cut-up cinnamon roll pieces to the pie filling and stirred to ensure everything was evenly distributed. Then, I popped the pan into a 350-degree oven for about 25 minutes, until everything was nicely browned.

All that was left to do was let the cake cool a little, then I snipped open the small pouch of icing and drizzled it evenly over the entire pan.

FAQs About This 2-Ingredient Apple Coffee Cake

What Should I Serve With My Apple Coffee Cake?

Hot coffee (of course!), a dollop of whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream if you’re in dessert mode. I raise two hands for vanilla ice cream! It is a perfect combination!

How Should I Store My Apple Coffee Cake?

Cover and refrigerate it for up to 3 days; rewarm servings in the microwave for 10–15 seconds. This cake does not freeze well. I suggest sharing some with the neighbors instead of trying to save it!

Can I prep it the night before?
No, refrigerated dough can get sluggish if it sits and won't bake right. Please make it when you're ready to bake it- after all, it only takes five minutes!
