Serve It At A Party With Flair

Dried Beef Dip will be a winner at the Super Bowl party, no matter which team ends up on top! The unbeatable flavor combination of dried beef, real mayonnaise, Beau Monde, and dill is always a crowd-pleaser at every gathering!

Dried beef, sometimes called chipped beef, is a form of beef jerky. Lean beef is salted, pressed, dried, and thinly sliced to make it. Grocery stores sell dried beef in plastic pouches or small glass jars like this.

The thin, salty, chewy slices are almost irresistible. I usually snitch at least one slice to nibble!

This savory favorite is simple to make! Begin by chopping the dried beef into thin ribbons.

Beau Monde Seasoning For A Wonderful Life

Beau Monde means 'wonderful life" in French. It's a classic mixture of many spices, as is curry powder. Beau Monde combines celery, onion, and salt with just a touch of sweetness. You will discover the unique flavors that enhance a variety of dishes.

Spice Island was the first company to package and sell it. It's my favorite brand. Once you try it, you will find many uses for Beau Monde. There's just nothing like it!

Then, when you add the intriguing flavor of dill, you create "dip nirvana." It's almost impossible to stop eating this savory dried beef dip!

Mayonnaise and Sour Cream Is Perfect Together

Sour cream is amazing stuff. Tangy and slightly tart, it adds a pop to whatever you put it on. Real mayonnaise is smooth and creamy with the quality that can "round out" a dish, the way butter does in other foods.

Together, they provide the perfect combination to carry the flavors of salty dried beef and pungent dill.

All you need to do now is stir everything together.

Dried Beef Dip Makes A Beautiful Presentation

Next, spoon the mixture into a loaf of bread you've hollowed out. Cut the bread you took out into walnut-sized chunks. Put the loaf on a platter and arrange the bread chunks around it.

Cover the whole platter with plastic film and refrigerate it for an hour or two. While it chills, the flavors will all get to know each other and "marry." The dill, beef, mayonnaise, Beau Monde, and sour cream will soon make beautiful music in your mouth!

Isn't it pretty? I love to garnish it with fresh parsley. If fresh dill is available, it's the best garnish of all.

One of the very best things about this dried beef dip happens when all that remains is the chewy bread soaked with what's left of the dip.

So be sure to put a serrated knife near the platter to cut up the delicious, crusty shell. I'd arm wrestle you for a bite of it! Yummy!!
