Some dishes just take on a life of their own. I assure you there's no crack in it, but "Crack Chicken" is the nickname for a crock pot recipe that's been circulating on social media for awhile now. True to it's name, it's practically addictive. Best of all, it's a Trifecta of easy, good and versatile. Good cooks in kitchen all over America have tweaked the ingredients until their version is perfect and exactly the way their family likes it best. It's a meal you can simply plop in the Crockpot on your way out the door on a busy weekday! (Why don't I remember EVERY time to put a liner in there before I put the ingredients in? Cleanup is such a snap when I do!!)
Out the door you go! Here's the last batch I made topped with shredded cheddar, turkey bacon and green onions!
I was chatting with my friend Nancy earlier today and we hashed over just how many ways this scrumptious concoction can be used. Obviously there are sandwiches. Some swear it's best on sweet Hawaiian style buns. But why not try it stirred into cooked, drained pasta? Top it with cheese and pop it under the broiler til the cheese is gooey and lightly browned. Or, in taco shells with lettuce, tomato and cheese. The Ranch flavor marries so well with taco sauce! Or put it on a pizza crust, add bacon, cheese, onions, cheese and bake!
You get the picture! The possibilities are only limited by your creativity!
Satisfying, creamy and flavorful shredded chicken ready for your imagination
Shred chicken and serve on sandwich buns with desired toppings such as crisp crumbled bacon, chopped green onions, or shredded cheese.
Can also be used in tacos, on pizza or stirred in to cooked pasta.
